Mandalas are based on geometric designs which may have a strong symbolic significance. Commonly occurring primarily in Hindu and Buddhist art and also adopted in Christian architecture (Rose window, Notre Dame).
These designs have a similar ‘use’ as in Islamic art where they are used for meditation and ‘pineal activation’.
Mandalas can be hung in front of a window and may be re-positioned according to your taste. They may be made of transparent or opalescent glass to suit different lighting conditions.
